Nanus Lupine

Lupinus nanus  (sometimes known as Lincoln Lupine)

Color: Blue, White

Height: 6-8 inches

This annual is part of the pea family and will provide nitrogen fixation in your soil.  This Lupine in native to California.  Lupine seed have a hard  covering and will germinate best if you soak the seeds for 24 hours prior to planting.  Plant in the late fall or early spring.  Lupines will do best planted in full sun and in average, well drained soils.  They will reseed if there is not too much competition from weeds and grasses.
