This perennial is native to California and can be seen along highways even into late summer. This plant can handle hot, dry locations where most plants would not grow. Yarrow will grow in most light, even sandy soils, but does not do well in clay. Plant in full sun and do not cover the seeds. Yarrow is easy to grow from seed, generally reseeds well, and may also be divided once established.
